Rica Ortiz keeps the plane flying at Last Mile. Since joining in 2022, she has managed logistics and operations across every department while working closely with the CEO to drive the full fundraising cycle. Rica also brings a creative edge to her work, designing reports and tools that highlight Last Mile’s impact.

Her background blends startup hustle and mission-driven purpose: she ran operations for a Bay Area tech company through its acquisition in 2016, then shifted to higher education, supporting finance, HR, and operations at UC Davis and the National Center for Women & IT before landing at Last Mile.
