Ford Transportation Fund Eligibility Map
Ford Priority Recruiting Schools:
Ford Philanthropy's $600,000 Founding investment plays a dual role: providing direct support to students in Ford manufacturing communities, or attending Ford Priority Recruiting Schools, and enrolled in Ford-preferred majors, while also catalyzing broader industry participation to scale the fund nationally.
In practice, this means Ford's dollars will be distributed as requested--approximately $200,000 per year for three years--reaching students at:
institutions within 100 miles of Ford plants (Southeast Michigan, Battle Creek, Kansas City, Louisville, Chicago, Cleveland, Stanton, Buffalo),
or attending a Ford Priority school,
and enrolled in a program that aligns to the Education for the Future of Work strategy (STEM, Mobility Pathways, etc.). We are removing the list of “excluded majors”.
