Reboot Scholar Transfer Success Fund

The Reboot Scholar Transfer Success Fund invests in striving Black, Latina, and Native American women transferring from community colleges and accepted into a bachelor's degree program for computing (e.g., computer science, information systems, data science, management information systems, etc.). The Fund aims to invest in high-potential transfer students with financial need, paving the way toward undergraduate computing degrees.  

Applicants must identify as a Black, Latina, and/or Native American woman or non-binary and be accepted into a bachelor's degree program for computing.

  • Students residing in the United States who:

    • Demonstrate low-income status, ineligibility for US federal student aid, or other evidence of financial need.

    • Are experiencing a financial obstacle that is a threat to continued progress toward obtaining their bachelor’s degree in computing.

    • Are enrolled in an accredited US post-secondary institution. Students may apply for funds either before or after they transfer.

    • Are on track to graduate with a bachelor's degree in computing by December 31, 2025.

      US citizens who have Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) status and F1 Visa holders currently attending college in the US are also eligible.

  • Emergency Financial Assistance | Up to $595

    Available during the transfer process for community college students who have been accepted into a computing bachelor's degree program.

    Bridge Grants | $600-$3000

    Bridges financial hurdles, that could prevent progress to degree completion or successfully launching into a computing career. Eligible expenses include, but are not limited to basic needs assistance, laptop devices, conference attendance, research experiences, and other career building opportunities.

    Available after the transfer process is complete and the student is enrolled in the computing bachelor's degree program.

  • Application Requirements

    1. An official or unofficial transcript showing your name, institution, and including major/minor areas of study.

    2. A letter of transfer acceptance, a letter of enrollment, or other evidence of having transferred from a community college to a bachelor's degree program in computing.

    3. A financial aid award letter showing your name, or other documentation demonstrating evidence of financial need.

    4. A LinkedIn profile with your photo.

    5. A U.S.-based email address.

    6. An interview with Last Mile staff for assistance over $595.
