TRANSCRIPTS
What You Need To Know
A simple guide to submitting your transcript
To review your application, we need an unofficial copy of your most recent academic transcript to confirm your enrollment, academic progress, and major.
Submitting the right documents the first time keeps your application moving and helps us support more students just like you. Please upload only the documents we request—additional files may slow your review.
What Counts as an Acceptable Unofficial Transcript
What makes a transcript eligible for review
All Applicants Must Upload a Transcript
There is one exception:
If your program (such as a Microsoft-supported bootcamp or certificate) does not provide transcripts, you may upload proof of enrollment instead, such as an acceptance letter that is:
Dated
Includes your full name
Includes the program name
Shows the program’s date range
Documentation must include:
Your full name
Your current academic term
Your institution’s name
Your major and minor areas of study (if listed)
If any of this information is missing, you may need to request an updated transcript from your school or provide a supplemental document.
All required information must appear on the same page for us to accept the document and keep your review on track.
Common Issues to Avoid
Students often run into these issues—checking ahead of time helps prevent delays:
Missing proof of active enrollment
Example: You request aid for Fall 2025 but submit a transcript that only shows enrollment through Spring 2025.
If your university does not show pending or upcoming courses on your transcript, please upload a course list with your full name in addition to your transcript.
Full name not shown
Sometimes this happens when part of the page is cropped. You can fix this by:
Uploading the full page, including your name, or
Submitting an official transcript, degree audit, or course list that includes your full name.
Major not listed
If your major/minor does not appear on the transcript, you must upload additional documentation to show you are currently enrolled in a qualifying program.
Collegiate level unclear
If total credit hours or academic level are hard to verify on your transcript, we may request a degree audit.
You are welcome to upload this ahead of time if you notice the transcript is unclear.
Checklist
Before you upload, make sure your document is clear and readable and has:
Your Full Name
We need to see your full name on the document to confirm it belongs to you.
Current Academic Term
This confirms you’re actively enrolled for the term you’re requesting aid.
Institution Name
This shows the transcript was issued by your school.
Your Major / Minor
If not shown, you must upload additional documentation proving your current program.
Proof of Active Enrollment
If upcoming courses don’t appear on your transcript, include a course list with your full name.
Collegiate Level
Credit hours are accepted as well. If either is hard to verify, we may request a degree audit—you can upload one proactively.
