Auri Taczala brings over 15 years of finance experience to Last Mile, with a deep passion for mission driven organizations and a genuine belief that strong financial infrastructure is what helps allows great missions to scale.

Before joining Last Mile, Auri served as Director of Finance & Accounting at Denver Indian Health and Family Services, a federally qualified health center serving Denver's urban American Indian and Alaska Native community.

As a Sugpiaq (Chignik Bay), Auri brings lived experience to Last Mile's mission. She knows firsthand what it means to come from a community that is underrepresented in professional spaces and what it takes to get there anyway. That connection to the students Last Mile serves isn't just professional for her. It's personal!

Auri lives in Denver with her husband, two kids, a very opinionated Yorkie named Harley, and a sassy Bombay cat named Lugosi. When she’s not in the numbers, you can find her gaming, chasing down Denver’s best bites, or curled up with a good book.
