Emily’s career is deeply steeped in community engagement, local and international organizing, and collective activism.

After graduating with a degree in political science, Emily worked in homeless services and affordable housing in New York City. Her career pivoted to education in 2023 when she moved to Madrid, Spain, to teach English in public and private schools. Her passion for student support then led her into higher education administration.

With over 8 years of experience in the nonprofit and education sectors, Emily has developed policy recommendations for the New York City Mayor’s Office, presented at the 65th Commission on the Status of Women at the United Nations, and led numerous research projects to increase equity for marginalized communities. 

Emily is now pursuing her master’s degree in human geography at Lund University in Sweden.
